Who We Are

Our goal at PMI is to help you formulate a comprehensive strategy to gain medical school acceptance.

Unlike other medical school prep companies, we offer an all-encompassing, individualized approach to help prospective medical students achieve their goal. While other programs contend that their experienced physician advisory staff can successfully guide a candidate through the application and interview process, we know that familiarity with the medical school community is only a fraction of the challenge. PMl's approach involves an in-depth analysis of each candidate's strengths and weaknesses, expertly selling the former while mitigating the latter.

As a potential candidate who aspires to this important calling, the sacrifices that one must make to achieve at the highest academic level in his/her undergraduate coursework are significant. To add to this challenge, a future medical school hopeful must allocate time to prepare for the MCAT exam. Medical school admissions committees believe the MCAT is a strong predictor of a candidate's potential success as an aspiring physician. Additionally, one must demonstrate genuine interest in the field of medicine. This often entails shadowing physicians, conducting meaningful research, and engaging in relevant volunteerism.

After years of dedication, an applicant's resume should outline the efforts they have made to foster their candidacy. The personal challenge and financial sacrifice at the undergraduate level signal the need for a deliberate strategy to invoke interest from medical school admissions committees.

The Reality

It is an exceptionally competitive undertaking when applying to MD or DO programs in this country. The reality is that many qualified candidates are not extended an invitation to attend medical school in the United States. An applicant can re-apply in successive years, but this is often done without developing an understanding as to why a favorable outcome wasn't achieved during the first application cycle. Medical schools rarely impart the reason a candidate is not offered a seat at their school.

Often students fail to understand the level of competition that is pursuing the same career objective. If a candidate does not construct the proper strategy to gain entry and is not fully prepared for the interview process, their chances of acceptance are greatly diminished. The investment to pursue a medical career as a physician is overwhelming. Hence, a candidate's approach to this process must be pursued in a thoughtful manner.

Unlike many medical school prep courses, we see little point in offering a candidate a three-hour package to guide them through such a critical process. There is simply no way to assess a candidate's weaknesses and strengths without investing the time to learn what is necessary to offer appropriate and effective guidance. We believe that you have a meaningful story to tell as to why you genuinely aspire to help others in need. Let us assist you in presenting your best self when it counts the most.
